Article Processing Charge

Disaster and Resilience is committed to providing open access to high-quality historical research without financial barriers. In line with our mission to promote the free exchange of scholarly knowledge, we do not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) or submission fees at any stage of the publication process.

Zero APC Policy

  • No Submission Fees: Authors are not required to pay fees when submitting their manuscript to the journal for peer review.
  • No Processing Fees: Accepted articles are processed and published in the journal without cost to the authors.
  • No Publication Fees: Once accepted, articles are published online with free, immediate open access, ensuring that the research is accessible to everyone without subscription or access fees.

Commitment to Open Access

Disaster and Resilience follows the principles of open access as outlined in the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). By removing financial barriers such as APCs, we enable researchers to publish their work and make it freely available to a global audience, regardless of their funding situation.

Benefits of Zero APC

  • Increased Accessibility: Research published in Disaster and Resilience is freely available to the public, leading to greater visibility and impact.
  • No Hidden Costs: There are no hidden fees or charges at any stage, from submission to publication.
  • Global Reach: With no APCs, authors from all regions of the world, including those from low-income and middle-income countries, can publish their research without financial constraints.

We believe that by maintaining a zero APC policy, Disaster and Resilience can continue to contribute to advancing historical scholarship while fostering an inclusive academic environment.
